Eric studied jazz saxophone under renowned artists Campbell Ryga and Mike Allen. He attained a Bachelor of Jazz Studies from Capilano University, a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music Education in Curriculum Studies from UBC.

Eric was the former Music Director of John Oliver Secondary where he ran a music program of 300+ students. He also directed the Jazz Program at Lord Byng Secondary. In 2009, Mr. Tsang received the Don Wright Scholarship in Instrumental Education in recognition of his achievement in instrumental education. In addition, Eric was nominated for the MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award in 2015.

Eric regularly performs with some of the best musicians in Vancouver. He is the baritone saxophonist and the manager of The Phonix Band and The Back On Stage Software. He is an alumni of the Band of the Ceremonial Guards and an active member of the 15th Field Artillery Band.

He is an award winning music educator who has a passion for making music accessible to all. His teaching specialties are the saxophone, flute and clarinet, and jazz improvisation.

Let's have a great time exploring music together in a fun-filled relaxing environment. My goal is to challenge you to reach your best potential and keep your interest going on your instrument.

Using many fun (totally not boring) training methods to strengthen your existing fundamentals, we will give you all the necessary skill sets to master your instrument be it flute, clarinet or saxophone.
